♦ The sintered copper core, situated within the sealed tube, is impregnated with a saturated volatile liquid, which can vary from distilled water to ammonia, methanol, or acetone. This versatile design ensures robust heat dissipation capabilities even at low temperatures, making it ideal for a wide range of electronic applications.
♦ During operation, the heatpipe absorbs heat from the electronic component, such as power semiconductor devices, in its evaporation section. This causes the volatile liquid within the sintered copper core to boil, forming steam. The heated steam then travels along the vapor channel to the cooling section of the heatpipe.
♦ In the cooling section, the steam condenses back into a liquid, releasing the absorbed heat in the process. Through the capillary action of the sintered copper core, the condensed liquid is effectively returned to the evaporation section, completing a continuous cycle of heat dissipation.
